Ebonyi State Community and Social Development Agency have flagged off the execution of seven million, nine hundred thousand naira Civic Centre Project in Umunna Afikpo South Local Government Area.

The Civic Centre project is the second Micro  Project under the Community’s Development Plan upon which the agency had completed the execution of her first micro project of over three million naira road rehabilitation project.

Speaking at the flag off of the project funding, the General Manager of Ebonyi State Community and Social Development Agency EBCSDA, Dr Peter Mbam urged the people of Umunna Community especially stakeholders to support and synergize with the Community Project Management Committee to ensure timely execution of the  project.

Dr Mbam who was represented by the operations manager of the Agency, Mr James Iroh advised the project management committee members to be effective in the management of their project fund by timely retirement of monies released to them for the implementation of the project without compromise to quality.

The traditional ruler of Umunna community Ezeogo Dickson Obo-Okorie and the chairman of Umunna Town Union, Chief Onuoha Ama-Okwara appreciated the state governor Engineer David Nweze Umahi for supporting and using the World Bank Assisted Ebonyi State Community and Social Development Agency to add value to his administration’s infrastructural development agenda.

They reiterated the commitment of the community to keep faith and rally round the state government in its development drives for the wellbeing of Ebonyi people. The chairman of Umunna Community Project Management Committee, Mr Okorie Ogbu-Nnachi assured that they would be judicious in the management of the project fund.
