Speaking during the ceremony, the Permanent Secretary Designate Mr Godwin Nwankwo attributed the successes to Governor David Nweze Umahi’s quick response to needs of the ministry.
The Permanent Secretary Designate Mr Godwin Nwankwo expressed gratitude to workers of the ministry who sacrificed their comfort to ensure that the ministry recorded zero-dead-bulbs on streetlight network.
Mr Nwankwo explained the motive behind the zero-dead-bulbs, stating that while streetlight bulbs might die replacement would not take more than twenty four hours upon discovery.
He called on the public to notify ministry of power and energy of any dead bulb found on the streetlight for prompt replacement.
The Head of Department Engineering services, Mr Theophilus Elom and lead supervisor streetlight Mr John Egbere expressed happiness over the success.
Other members of management including Mr Ndubuisi Obazi, Justin Ani, and Raphael Ezeni appreciated the Permanent Secretary Designate for his policy of inclusion, stating that his listening ear to workers suggestions enabled the success of zero-dead-bulbs.
Some Engineers and Technicians were rewarded with undisclosed amount while personal gift of one hundred thousand naira was given to Mr Ogbonnaya Inya for being hard working.
